Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as Juris Doctor students. The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society, is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies, and is affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
In order to be eligible for induction into the TCNJ Delta Phi Sigma chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a declared criminology major or minor
- Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.2
- Have a criminology GPA of a 3.2
- Completed a minimum of four courses with the criminology course designation
