Registration for the Fall 2025 semester will begin on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 and runs through Friday, April 11, 2025. Please check your PAWS account to find out your scheduling time. Course Availability & Enrollment Updates
I understand that many of you had difficulty enrolling in criminology courses this semester, and I sincerely apologize for the challenges you faced. To help address this, we are offering additional course sections in the fall and reserving many seats exclusively for criminology majors and minors. This should make it easier for you to secure a spot, especially if you have a later enrollment date.
Pre-Enrollment for Core Courses
We will pre-enroll majors in three core courses: CRI 205, CRI 306, and CRI 499. You will not be able to enroll in these courses yourself. Seats will be assigned based on graduation priority. If you do not receive an email regarding pre-enrollment in one of these courses, you may still have an opportunity to enroll later, but only after pre-enrollment is complete.
New PAWS Waitlist Feature
The College is introducing a new waitlist feature in PAWS for Fall 2025. The Office of Records and Registration will provide additional details, and they have created a waitlist website with more information. While we will use this PAWS waitlist for criminology courses, it does not override the seats we are holding for majors and minors. Additionally, we plan to enroll students from the waitlist largely based on academic need rather than a first-come, first-served basis.
Be sure to take advantage of the Department’s outside-of-the-classroom learning experiences, too. Students can receive elective credit for a registered internship or research with a faculty member. Not sure where to start? Talk to your adviser about these opportunities
