Professor Willian Jelani Cobb speaks at TCNJ

On Thursday, October 23 at 6pm the department of African American Studies, the Criminology Department, Dean Rifkin, and many department co-sponsors invited guest speaker, Professor Willian Jelani Cobb to TCNJ. His talk “Between Us and the World: Ferguson, The United States of America and The Lynching of Michael Brown” touched on the events that have been unfolding in Ferguson MO and broader issues regarding race and social justice.

Dr. Cobb is a writer for the New Yorker as well an Associate Professor of History and Director of the Africana Studies Institute at the University of Connecticut. He has been in Ferguson, MO as a journalist for the New Yorker and has been publishing insightful articles on this issue.
