John Krimmel joined the Criminology faculty in 1993. He came to TCNJ from Kentucky Wesleyan College where he held an assistant professor position. Prior to academic life Dr. Krimmel was employed as an analyst and unit chief in the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice. He also served as a police officer in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania. Dr. Krimmel has been the recipient of numerous funded research projects including his latest project where he is evaluating the efficacy of a program designed to foster enhanced family bonding to married inmates maxing out of their prison sentences in New Jersey. Dr. Krimmel holds a B.A. from Temple University, a M.S. from St. Joseph’s University, and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the City University of New York (at John Jay College of Criminal Justice).
